Business and community leaders recently collaborated with judges from the North Dade Justice Center to present the annual Law Day celebration featuring keynote speaker Ervin Gonzalez, a noted trial attorney recently named one of the “Top 11 Attorneys in the Nation” by Lawyers Weekly USA.
Judges overseeing Law Day 2013, themed “Realizing the Dream: Equality for All” included Associate Administrative Judge Linda Singer Stein, Judge Myriam Lehr, Judge Caryn C. Schwartz, Judge Charles K. Johnson, Judge Carlos Guzman, Judge Betty Capote and Judge Jason Dimitris. A special introduction was given for newly-elected Chief Judge Bertila Soto, the first Cuban-American woman and Florida International University graduate to serve as Chief Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit. Sun Life Stadium / Miami Dolphins recently hosted an Aventura Marketing Council Chairman’s Roundtable Luncheon, where they invited senior-decision makers from the Miami-Dade business community into their very own Dolphins locker room, to provide a better understanding of their intentions on renovating and expanding the stadium, and how it will develop the future of the community at large.
In true Dolphins style, guests were welcomed by Dolphins CEO Mike Dee and staff, individual photo-ops were taken next to Super Bowl trophies on their way in, and all attendees had their names prominently featured on their very own locker for the afternoon. The City of Sunny Isles Beach recently hosted an Aventura Marketing Council (AMC) Breakfast Meeting highlighting a “progress, prosperity and luxury on the rise” report presented by Mayor Norman S. Edelcup. Good news about record-setting tourism trends in Miami-Dade was also shared by guest speaker Bill Talbert, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB).
AMC Chair Cliff Schulman of Weiss, Serota, Helfman welcomed hundreds of business and community leaders gathered at the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, which is proud to be home of the Forbes Travel Guide five-star rated Acqualina Resort & Spa, as well as the four-star Trump International Beach Resort.
On behalf of the Sunny Isles Beach City Commission, Mayor Edelcup invited everyone to join in celebrating the city’s 16th anniversary in June. “We’re so proud of our city, leading the county in new construction with nine new residential projects that will add another $3 billion to our tax base, already close to $7 billion. In just a couple of years, Sunny Isles Beach, spanning just one square mile, will have a $10 billion tax base. We now have ten new parks and one of the finest K-8 schools, so successful, that we’re adding twelve classrooms.
“All of our city commissioners, past and present, have worked diligently to heighten quality of life, transforming Sunny Isles Beach into an internationally -renowned community.
